Our Exciting Opportunity:

Join Chewy as a dynamic and analytical Senior Category Manager in our fast-paced merchandising team located in FL or MA. We're super pumped about expanding our Merchandising team, it's our top priority Our Sr. Category Managers are passionate contributors, keen on obtaining relevant results for our brand. In this role, you'll take charge of the P&L for one of Chewy's key categories, negotiate for better business terms, nurture essential vendor relationships, strategize business initiatives, and pinpoint growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate should be a versatile leader capable of thinking big and diving deep. If you have a background in merchandising, retail, sales, marketing, or product management, you're exactly what we're looking for

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a crucial category at Chewy.
  • Take full ownership of P&L.
  • Cultivate strong vendor relationships and lead negotiations.
  • Develop strategies to attract new customers and enhance existing customer engagement.
  • Optimize product performance within your category based on data analysis.
  • Collaborate with various teams across the company.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of business experience in ecommerce, retail, or similar fields.
  • Demonstrated business acumen and agility.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Vendor management, sales, and marketing expertise.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Excel and retail math.
  • Travel required: 15%

Bonus Skills:

  • Prior experience in leading organizations.
  • Knowledge of SQL & Tableau is a plus.
