Key job responsibilities

About the team

Search Assistance's mission is to enhance customers' shopping experience by providing search query completion, correction, and recommendations. Our goal is to understand customers' shopping needs and make their search and discovery process easier throughout their shopping journey. We own three customer-facing features worldwide (WW): Autocomplete, Spelling Correction, and Related Searches. When customers interact with the search bar, we display their recent and trending searches. As the customer scroll through the search page, we present Related Searches at the bottom of the search page to help customers to explore and pivot towards related search options.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
