YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES \r
\r
The primary responsibilities of this role, Seed Technician, are to: \r
\r
\tEnsure the production and equipment operation process happens safely effectively and with quality in alignment with general procedures of the work area; \tObtain and maintain AASCO and in some cases ISTA certifications; \tExhibit understand of internal procedures/protocols and support compliance with legal requirements applicable to assigned area activities; \tDemonstrate knowledge of and adherence to Bayer s Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards; \tPerform basic computer/Microsoft Suite program skills; \tHave a positive attitude, team player and willingness to collaborate across all departments and business units; \tEnsure the production and equipment operation process happens safely effectively and with quality in alignment with general procedures of the work area; \tExecute basic activities in Bayer systems (SAP and electronic networks), commonly used in production processes; \tSupport areas across the plant in driving the adoption of continuous improvement practices and programs (5S, Lean, Six Sigma) conducive to an organized and clean work environment; \tUtilize 1PSS techniques to initiate process and standard work improvements; \tParticipate and prepare to lead Daily Direction Settings (DDS) meetings as needed; \tHave a positive image of company position in regards to seeds processing Communication skills within sub department including providing feedback. \r

Required qualifications:
\r

\r
\tHigh School Diploma or equivalent; \tPrior experience in Manufacturing and/or Agricultural operations experience; \tAbility to gain required plant certifications to operate forklift; \tAbility to work according the defined QMS documents with close supervision; \tAbility to work different shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed to support business needs; \tKnowledge of Basic Computer Skills (Internet, Excel, PowerPoint, Word); \tAbility to Communicate in English, both Verbal and Written; \tAbility to perform mathematical calculations; \tMust be able to use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. \tPosition involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting up to 60 pounds; \tWhile performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, reach with hands and arms, in addition employee frequently is required to walk. \r

Preferred qualifications:
\r

\r
\tTechnical, Associates or Bachelor's degree; \tAt least one year Manufacturing and/or Agricultural operations experience; \tMechanical abilities (able to operate and troubleshoot equipment); \tPrior agricultural experience; \tThree years of experience in a rotating-shift manufacturing environment. \r

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately $26.26 to $33.64. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
