What you will do:   

 

  • Prepare field seed beds and flag sites  

  • Seed cleaning, seed treatment and set-up of experiments  

  • Establish and maintain nurseries through herbicide application, fertilizing, discing, weeding, rogueing, etc.  

  • Operate small plot field equipment such as tractors, seeders, sprayers and tillage tools  

  • Prepare land for fall through application of herbicides and fertilizer under the direction of site personnel

  • Collecting tisue, water and soil samples

  • Verify samples are invoiced correctly

  • Work with laboratory personnel to ensure timely processing of samples  

  • Assist technicians, agronomists and plant breeders with other duties as required  

 

What you will bring:   

 

  • High School Diploma or GED required  

  • Ability to lift 50lbs  

  • Ability to travel as required  

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

 

The estimated salary that Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn suggested does not represent Nutrien's compensation structure.   

 

Salary range $16.00 - $22.48 an hour. This range is estimated for a Field Support Technician in Oxnard, CA. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan and long-term incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.  Details will be discussed through the application process.
