Job Summary

As anEquipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of mobile equipment which includes forklifts and front-end loaders. The successful candidate must be able to work safely indoors and outdoors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that equipment continues to run smoothly
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair of mobile equipment
  • Maintenance of special purpose machines
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
  • Determine how to correct issues utilizing schematics, repair manuals, or parts catalogs
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned
  • Inspect motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, utilizing PM checklists
  • Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, hand tools and power tools
  • Basic knowledge and troubleshooting related to electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic and mechanical systems
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and experience
  • OSHA-10 certification a plus but certification can be provided
  • At least two years of equipment maintenance experience working in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
  • Physical requirements include lifting to 50 lbs., extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, working indoors and outdoors
  • Able to perform job tasks in varying weather conditions
Preferences
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to function occasionally in a team environment, with a proven track record of contributing toward team goals
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment as necessary
