This Registered Nurse - Endocrinology position is located at the Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Bangor, Maine. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week.

Included but not limited to:
Oversees clinic schedules, takes steps to maximize clinic access, flow and efficiency.
Supports medical staff in managing consults to the service, assisting in prioritizing and facilitating access for urgent needs. As requested reports data to Medical Service.
Assists in the case management of patients with complex diseases, i.e. tracking follow up labs, diagnostic studies and future appointments.
Manages/ triages patient calls and messages, i.e. requests for medication renewal.
Manages secure messaging program.
Provides comprehensive patient education regarding the management and related treatments delivered to patients in the clinic.
Documents patient education and other encounters in appropriately titled CPRS notes.
Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients and families in the setting.
Provides nursing care to patients undergoing invasive procedures as applicable to setting.
Coordinates and assists with clinical procedures in the patient care setting.

Follows established safety and infection control standards, use of Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) policies and procedures and monitors staff compliance with same.

Ensures that regulatory standards are met, including medication management, clinical procedural requirements and environment of care standards.
Keeps current with changing needs in Health care and advances in standards of care and technology.
Maintains mandatory certifications as dictated by work setting.

Participates in performance improvement initiatives as applicable to clinical practice to supporting improvement of the overall quality of care delivery.

Pay:
Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
