Senior Java Full Stack Engineer / AWS

Responsibilities

· Develop and maintain robust software applications using MySQL JavaScript Java Angular JS SQL and AWS.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design implement and test new features and functionalities.

· Ensure the scalability performance and reliability of applications through effective coding practices and optimization techniques.

· Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

· Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

· Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

· Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality software delivery.

· Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies incorporating them into the development process where applicable.

· Develop and maintain documentation for software applications ensuring clarity and accuracy.

· Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

· Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards particularly in the areas of Payer Claims Medicare and Medicaid Claims.

Qualifications

· Possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

· Demonstrate strong proficiency in MySQL JavaScript Java Angular JS SQL and AWS.

· Have extensive experience in Payer Claims Medicare and Medicaid Claims domains.

· Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

· Show strong communication skills both written and verbal to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

· Display a proactive attitude

Location: Phoenix, AZ or Remote

*Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in US without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future*

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 8/25/2024

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to 114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
