New Product Development Area Business Leader

- Provide operational input to overall Fort Wayne business strategy
- Collaborate with design centers to capture, launch and transition of new products
- Contribute fully to annual operations planning for the business
- Operationalize strategy with 3 to 5 year vision, specific to area of work
- Understand, evaluate and critique quarterly financial plan inputs
- Support customer growth opportunities
- Decide and/or collaborate on decisions regarding outsourcing versus vertical integration direction
- Maintain a team that is structured and staffed correctly
- Coach and mentor team members
- Drive collaboration within team and with other teams
- Proactively support initiatives relating to design and process compliance and improvements
- Develop and maintain effective customer relationships that give credibility to operations
- Understand and address customer concerns timeously and appropriately
- Develop and present effective communication and presentations for customer and business level engagement
- Bachelors' degree in engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline with relevant experience leading technical development programs and 10+ years of experience
- Demonstrated experience leading diverse, multi-discipline teams in a high tempo environment
- Expertise applying project management skills and techniques including: stakeholder management, team-building, critical decision making, cost analysis, risk mitigation and opportunity realization
- Leadership experience in manufacturing
- Strong presentation, data analysis and organizational skills
- Experience and strong knowledge in Lean - Sigma manufacturing principles
- Master's degree in engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline and 15+ years of demonstrated experience leading diverse teams in a high tempo, aerospace electronics production environment
- Previous experience in New Product development
- Experience in developing Design for Manufacturing standards
- Lean Product Development principles
- Leadership experience within supply chain environment
- Strong foundation in the Operations function
- Experience with the development and manufacture of safety / flight critical electronics
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or other relevant field
- 6 Sigma Black Belt
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $195660
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
