Overall Responsibility

The Housekeeper provides cleaning, laundry service and other domestic services for persons living in the rectory.

Reports to:

Pastor Classification:
Non-exempt

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops cleaning schedule to assure rectory is maintained in an orderly manner.
  • Cleans the rectory, including but not limited to: kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, patios, etc.
  • Cleans by dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing.
  • Purchases and/or orders cleaning supplies for the rectory.
  • On occasion, prepares meals, including meals for guests or events.
  • Provides laundry services and arranges for dry cleaning as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in household cleaning
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Speaks and understands English.
  • Must have reliable means of transportation.
Physical & Environmental Job Requirements

  • Bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items
Frequently requires the ability to lift and move heavy and bulky items without assistance.

  • May work with hazardous materials or chemicals, areas can be dusty.
