Work with engineers to create, develop, install, implement, validate, and maintain repair line test capability for new product lines and evaluate effectiveness of existing setup and efficiencies.

Main Accountabilities and Essential Duties:

TASK DESCRIPTION

  1. Set up, manage, and maintain depot test stations and test systems (Test computers, software, hardware, etc.)
  2. Design test jigs, test racks, templates, digital tools, product labels, drawings, flowcharts, diagrams, logs, etc.
  3. Research and consult with manufacturers, vendors and suppliers on test equipment, tools, etc. aligning with Business Unit standards for local sourcing and request quotations, estimates, invoices, etc.
  4. Work with Purchasing team to purchase test equipment, tools, supplies, parts and materials for repair center.
  5. Manage, perform, and schedule onsite, offsite calibrations. Maintain calibration records, certifications, extensions, and out-of-tolerance forms.
  6. Manage and maintain ESD station monitors. Perform periodic functional verifications.
  7. Manage and maintain stamps, assignment records, acknowledgment forms and periodic legibility verifications.
  8. Create, update and review Repair procedures, work-around instructions, documents, forms, etc.
  9. Manage housekeeping safety and compliancy within the Repair Center. Maintain staff meeting records.
  10. Assist in internal and external audits.
  11. Set up, test DEMO computers, including system imaging, updates, software licensing and registration.
  12. Perform First Article Inspections for packaging boxes, foam sets, etc.
  13. Perform administrative work (records, logs, schedules, safety datasheets, work files and folders, server links, signs, labels, etc.)
  14. Support new product introduction, acquire new test sets and equipment, and set up trainings in accordance with Business unit standards.
  15. Collect data and generate reports (Direct Labor, Techs Efficiency, Trend Analysis, Customer NCR's, Returns, etc.)

Other administrative work: Employee relations, emails, conference calls, meetings, JIRA, CAPA, EOL/EOS updates, etc.

Responsibilities

  1. Review all necessary information including site specifications and conditions prior to installation, develop installation plan, prepare product and necessary tools, verify delivery compliance, in order to allow the installation of the product and/or system to be performed with the maximum customer satisfaction and cost efficiency. In the case of installation by certified Barco dealers, provides technical support and training in addition to dealer's formal Barco training, and assists in the installation to enable the dealer's team to perform professional installations.
  2. Resolves any issues, provides technical support and expertise, in order to obtain customer acceptance and satisfaction. Reports discrepancies from customer upon completion of installation or support operations, in order to give valuable feedback to management and to participate in the improvement of the process and of the products.
  3. Performs scheduled/emergency on-site service repairs, schedules and performs on site preventive maintenance.
  4. Provides customer service reports, escalates open customer issues to management, in order to have a clear, accurate and up to date documentation on company service activities.

Qualification

  1. Technical Bachelor degree, or higher, or equivalent through experience
  2. 5 years of industry or related experience preferred.
  3. Ability to schedule and perform assignments independently.
  4. Good communication skills, service, and client orientation.
