JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Bookkeeper at our store, you will be responsible for preparing and verifying cash handling procedures and ensuring the store's money is safe. Under the supervision of the Store Director, you will also oversee the front end operation of the store.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Count and balance cashier tilts
  • Verify transactions including food stamps, coin, checks, and WIC
  • Order money change from the bank
  • Enforce cash handling procedures
  • Provide on-the-job training to lower level employees
  • Ensure quality service and consistency
  • Prepare cashier declarations and accountability reports
  • Follow state and city laws
  • Perform Front End Manager duties in their absence
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1-3 years experience as a Bookkeeper
  • Experience in a similar industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic math skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Food handling card may be required
  • Effective relationship building
