This position will require strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally within West Region Leadership Team other Amgen business units including District Sales Mangers, Regional Sales Directors and Key Account Managers.

Additional Responsibilities and Duties Include:

Coach and develop district team to enhance their performance and help achieve/exceed sales and ISS prioritiesDemonstrate the appropriate coaching and counseling to prepare individuals for future developmentTrack the progress of marketing messages and programsProvide feedback to district team on the marketing, allocating, monitoring, and maximising of internal and external resources (e.g., discretionary spend)Screen, interview, and hire candidatesEnsure compliance with trainingConduct annual and on-going performance reviews and competency assessmentsCommunicate and coordinate with both district and cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, KAM, MSL, AAS, other Business Units)Share standard methodologies with direct reports and peersCoordinate and/or participate in cluster teamsConduct district sales meetings to guide districtsDevelop local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve aligned objectivesWinWhat we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree AND 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Master's degree AND 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Bachelor's degree or AND 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience And 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources. Preferred Qualifications: Three + years of specialty sales experience (Primary Care, Cardiology, and/or Dermatology marketplace)Experience in biologicsAbility to consistently and objectively recognize and promote success behaviors, as well as diagnose and change unsatisfactory behaviors through effective coachingAbility to leverage market & customer knowledge to strategically target messages, resources, and activities within the territoryAbility to partner and collaborate across leadership and team levels and lead team to complete strategic decisions aligned to business prioritiesDemonstrates knowledge of local payor coverageAbility to understand and articulate clinical concepts, data, and conclusionsDemonstrated ability to apply clinical information to effectively address customer questions and objectionsAbility to recruit candidates that meet the minimum job criteriaInterviews and hires sales representatives that are capable and committed to fulfilling the job requirementsStrong sense of responsibility and demonstrated self-disciplineSetting appropriate short term and long term objectives; demonstrated success in communicating & collaborating with sales staff, peers, business unit counterparts in an effective and timely manner.ThriveWhat you can expect of us As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates professional and personal growth and well-being.
