Summary

This position is responsible for playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of various functions within the organization. Must be highly motivated to reaching departmental goals by team building and developing staff, along with continuous monitoring of work to maximize productivity for both on-site and telecommuting staff. Candidate must have outstanding communication skills, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with effective results. Goal setting is an important function in this role and the ability to develop, analyze data and prepare reports for trending is required.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Assist in the daily operations of Commercial Insurance billing ensuring that timely, effective and accurate billing and follow-up occur while providing service excellence is critical; Knowledge of commercial billing, collection and appeal guidelines and regulations are required; Foster a collaborative and positive team environment through effective communication and interpersonal skills; Work closely with team members and other Lee Health departments to address challenges, share best practices, and drive continuous improvement. Timekeeping, staff meetings, interviewing, hiring, developing performance, conducting performance reviews, participating in department and system wide committees, task forces and/or activities as required to enhance the revenue cycle. Ability to appropriately manage stress and complexity of the position regarding the changing needs of the department as well as the health system.
