Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Senior Sterile Central Sterile Technician, you will foster and lead an environment of teamwork, quality and safety for our patients. You will assist the supervisor with the day-to-day operations of the supply inventory, medical equipment, and specialty patient care item maintenance. You will work with professional and non-professional employees of the hospital and with physicians, patients, and their families. What You Will Do In This Role:
- You will perform delegated functions in compliance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- You will perform procedures related to decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation for Surgical Services and Nursing units.
- You will review sterilization records and prepares reports as assigned.
- You will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.
- You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.
- You will need to have knowledge of care handling inspection; safety testing and process improvement plans regarding Safety for patients and staff.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Certification in Central Sterile Processing (CRST) is required.
- Completion of a Sterile Processing program required.
- Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician is preferred.
