Mars United Commerce is currently seeking a Director, Customer Development. This position is responsible for developing in-depth knowledge and strong relationships with the assigned retailer, working closely with internal and external teams, leading annual planning process, developing Shopper Marketing strategies for assigned brands/retailers and leading growth of assigned businesses. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the retailer, relationships within that retailers' organization and proven strategic abilities.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide thought leadership, impacting/contributing to client's way of doing business with their key retailer on an ongoing basisAct as a change agent/impact player from both an internal and external perspective – contributing to both client and agency performanceExpand assigned business through identification of growth opportunities within your retailer or class of tradeManage client relationship at the retail level to include shopper marketers, sales teams and insights teams.Demonstrate financial responsibility related to client scope of work, hours management and staffing needs.Develop annual business plan, setting short- and long-term strategic course for growth of assigned businessBuild strong relationships with both client and retailer while working closely with cross-functional teams including consumer marketing, trade development, operations, merchandising, and category managers, directors and buyersIdentify opportunities within your assigned retailer and share this learning on an ongoing basis with your Retail and Client Leadership teamsUnderstand how an agency works and embracing the tools and continually learning about our ways of working
