Look no further We have an excellent full-time Psychiatric Nursing Assistant contract available at a reputable psychiatric hospital in Austin, TX

Position: Full-Time Psychiatric Nursing Assistant Contract

Location: Austin, TX

Shift: 2:45pm-11:15pm, EOW or any shift weekends only. There are NO 12 hr shifts

Hours: 40 hours/week

Length: 3 to 6 months, with option to extend

Start: 1st and 16th of each month

Responsibilities:

Assist with activities of daily living to individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, chemical dependency, social and/or physical disorders who are inpatient in the Mental Health UnitsMonitor, document, and report any health changes to LPN or RNEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and proceduresEnsure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures Requirements: Experience in direct patient care and 1 year continuous work history with same employer preferredExperience in psych or behavioral health preferred, but not required.Ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organizational and time management abilitiesMust pass a 10-panel drug screening prior to startMust pass FBI-level background check. No previous felonies or misdemeanorsMust be available for 10 consecutive days of training, M-F, 8a-5pMust report to facility prior to start date for fingerprints and COVID testingValid TX Driver's license.
