Within Nestlé USAs Corporate Reporting Team, this position is primarily responsible for end-to-end financial processes of employee benefits (pensions, retiree medical, 401K, short and long-term incentives etc.) which include but not limited to budgeting accounting, reporting, and analyzing various employee benefits plans and providing support in preparation of the foot note disclosures associated with employee benefits and other Financial Statements at the periodic intervals.

The Sr Financial Reporting Analyst will work with cross-functional teams throughout various operating entities in the US to ensure accurate and timely delivery of requirements and consistent use of Nestlé reporting policies and systems in addition to identifying the continuous improvement of the way of working utilizing new systems solutions to improve efficiency, promoting first time quality and proactive engagement with stakeholders in ensuring timely submission of such reports.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Timely budgeting and analysis at a granular level for various employee benefit plans.
  • Preparation and posting of journal entries related to employee benefit transactions, including pensions, retiree medical, 401K, short and long-term incentives, Life Insurance, etc. as per the reporting calendar.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of benefit plan balances through reconciliations and coordination with Nestlé Business Services and actuaries.
  • Ensure Reconcile benefit plan balances used for internal and external reporting with general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare, analyze, and report data for the periodic financial statements, footnotes and meet audit requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations in recording and reporting benefit-related transactions
  • Gather and interpret financial information effectively, presenting data in a meaningful and concise manner.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes through automation or shared service center transitions.
  • Collaborate closely with operating divisions, corporate functional groups, and business contacts at the worldwide headquarters.
Educational and Other Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in accounting functions / public accounting firms.
  • Experience on working with SAP or another ERP is preferred.
  • Experience with data analytic tools and visual dashboard like Alteryx, tableau and Power BI are preferred.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with the ability to analyze and interpret data, presenting findings concisely.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple priorities.
  • Team Oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
