The newly created Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations business unit is part of Board area Customer Serivces & Delivery with responsibility across the relevant Sovereign Cloud portfolio of SAP. Global Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations is collaborating closely with all Board areas to establish a harmonized, scalable, and consistent offering with transparent and standardized deliverables.

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

We are looking for a Project Expert Development (f/m/d) in the area of the Technology & Engineering unit of the newly formed Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations team in the Customer Serivces & Delivery board area.

In this role, you will join the Mutli-Tenant Engineering team: We build, harden, and operate the interal SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as reference by the regional Operations teams. You will help deliver SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) applications to SAP Sovereign Cloud customers aiming at functional completeness, streamlined deployments, and smooth operation.

You will be working closely with technical product managers, engineers, our security team, as well as SAP product team members and Operations teams. You will have the opportunity to solve the intricate Sovereign Cloud challenges of scale and security, while using your skills to manage release milestones.

You will be responsible for the release calendar, which includes managing dependencies between applications, defining the end-to-end deployment process, as well as serving as trusted advisor for system landscape questions. You will actively manage relationships between key stakeholders on the SAP commercial, the Sovereign Cloud Engineering, as well as Operations side. You will provide guidance to the Sovereign Cloud Enginering team around processes and tools to ensure seamless deployments. Additionally you will contribute to SAP product maturity by helping refine the test concept and establishing stable issue resolution processes.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a similar field
  • Professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies
  • Strong background in project management and proven track record in managing schedules
  • Familiarity in senior leadership reporting
  • Experience across the entire product development lifecycle
  • Solid knowledge of Cloud infrastructure and design incl. hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as Code: CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, or ArgoCD), Monitoring and Logging (like Splunk, Elasticsearch, or Grafana)
  • Experience with Security processes and tools (e.g. Vault)
  • Product knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
  • Experience with SAC system environment setup incl. dependency management and user administration
  • Familiarity with creating/reviewing test procedures and concepts
  • Background in detecting, logging, and reporting bugs & configuration changes
  • SAP SuccessFactors (HCM) experience is a big plus
  • Prior team or work stream lead experience is a plus
  • Fundamental SAP HANA database knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent methodological and conceptual skills paired with analytical thinking
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Fluency in written and spoken English

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Delivery related fields and technologies
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • 1+ year of experience in cloud operations environment, solution support, and management or development
