RESPONSIBILITIES


The Cloud Engineering Lead is responsible for cloud systems plans and strategy; design, development, and deployment of applications into a Cloud or Hybrid Cloud; and implementation of enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing.

Cloud Engineering Lead responsibilities include architecting and leading the development and integration of cloud-based information and computer systems that meet specific needs, as identified in the SOW.

The Cloud Engineering Lead is accountable for the end-to-end cloud deployment experience, from concept development to deployment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of a TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or related technical field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience supporting cloud architecture design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • A minimum of one of the following professional certifications:
  • Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA)
  • AWS Solutions Architect (Professional)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of eight years of relevant technical experience.
  • One of the following AWS Certifications:
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate)
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional)
  • AWS Certified Big Data (Specialty)
  • Cloud Engineering experience at NGA, or within the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), including the NGA Enterprise Architecture process, NGA Service/ API Governance, and the NGA RFC process.
  • Ability to work closely with Agile teams to ensure that the solution architectures align with the product roadmap and business objectives.
  • Experience defining and implementing strategies for integrating software components, systems, and applications, including designing and implementing APIs, data integrations, and middleware.
  • Experience collaborating with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment, automation, monitoring, and scaling of software solutions, and drive continuous improvement in software development practices.
  • Proven successes with stakeholder Management: Collaboration with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, provide technical recommendations, and ensure alignment of solution architecture with business goals.
  • Ability to maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and user guides, to ensure the proper understanding and maintenance of the software solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional, distributed team environment.
  • SAFe certification (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe Program Consultant, etc.) is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical requirements and provide innovative solutions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide teams towards achieving project goals and deliverables.
