Internal Medicine Physician Cancer Survivorship

Northwell Health's Medicine Service Line, Division of General Internal Medicine and Northwell Health's Cancer Institute are partnering together to hire a board eligible/board certified Internal Medicine Physician to join our Cancer Survivorship Program at the Zuckerberg Cancer Center in New Hyde Park, NY. This program seeks to deliver a new model of care where survivorship clinicians begin working with oncology to manage patient toxicities (i.e., fatigue, lymphedema, neuropathy, etc.) and co-morbidities related to disease and treatment. This physician will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and enable timely referrals to sub-specialists and/or programs to optimize patients' long-term health and well-being. This is an exciting opportunity to help launch our new care model to transform the health of our patients.
Zuckerberg Cancer Center is located at the Center for Advanced Medicine, a nationally recognized cancer care facility offering state-of-the-art technology, leading-edge clinical trials, and a full range of support programs. Our team is composed of a large, dynamic, and diverse group of clinicians, educators, and researchers from multiple professions eager to take on the challenge of patient centered longitudinal, and comprehensive cancer care services. Patients are offered clinical trials as the standard of our care.
Applicants should be enthusiastic about working collaboratively across specialties to co-manage patients, comfortable working in and providing feedback on an iterative process to develop a new care model, have a passion for learning and teaching, and interested in using technology effectively to deliver high quality care. Expertise in cancer survivorship is preferred.
