Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

TE Connectivity in Winston-Salem, NC is looking for a Manager, Quality, responsible for QMS Development and Maintenance: Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with relevant quality standards such as ISO 9001 and IATF specific to automotive industry). Establish quality policies, procedures, and work instructions that align with industry best practices. Compliance and Auditing: Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with established quality standards, processes, and procedures. Coordinate external audits by regulatory bodies and customers, and ensure that all required documentation is prepared and available. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality and efficiency. Use tools like Six Sigma, Lean, and other quality improvement methodologies to analyze processes and implement changes. Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to the QMS, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records. Leadership and Management: Lead a team of quality professionals and ensure their development and training in quality management practices. Lead PPAP Team: Ensure PPAP's are created in accordance with customer requirements and submit them on time.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or any business-related field (or foreign equivalent), plus 5 years of experience in a related occupation.

Special Requirements: Requires 5 years of experience with the following:

  1. Quality Management System for Automotive Industry.
  2. Core tools AIAG.
  3. APQP.
  4. 8D (Problem Solving).
  5. VDA 6.1.
