Job Summary and Qualifications- Responsible for the overall daily function/staffing of the Cardiac Cath Lab.
- Generates Staff level performance appraisals.
- Oversees thorough and complete orientation of all new employees, utilizing the hospital orientation plan and ensuring all aspects are completed during the orientation process.
- Assists with departmental Performance Improvement program, outcomes management projects and other hospital and corporate initiatives.
- Maintains statistical reports.
- Pursues professional development to prepare for additional responsibilities and improve current job performance by participating in educational meetings, independent study and maintaining appropriate certifications. Encourages continuous professional development from staff. Performs all necessary actions to ensure the lab meets standards as set by the JCAHO and the appropriate Radiologic or other healthcare agencies
- Utilizes appropriate communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with patients, physicians, management and staff.
- Demonstrates teamwork, flexibility and creative problem-solving skills when dealing with patients, physicians or other department managers and staff
- Registered Nurse
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
