Description:

Motional is looking to backfill a previous FTE that is leaving his role in Milpitas, CA due to family issues. They would like to find an IT Engineer that can step in and be the sole POC for IT in Milpitas while they work with a larger 8 person operations team across the US. This person needs to have phenomenal soft skills to work with users as they have all employee types on site including Executives, Engineers & IT Engineers, and even legal department. This person will be tasked with handling all phases of support from machine build, peripheral set up, conference room troubleshooting, end point troubleshooting, local network stabilization, etc. They currently use JIRA for their ticketing system for tracking and logging IT issues and on site there will be roughly 40-50 people each day give or take + remote users that may log tickets. From a device standpoint - they have about 1000 Linux/Ubuntu end points, 600 Windows, and 200 Mac. Many of the users might have a tablet + PC + mobile + 2nd laptop if they are engineering so the workload perspective is focused on customer experience more than a massive workload.

The 2nd focus of this job will be on on auxiliary areas of skill and will be project focused. These projects will be focused to the individuals skillset, be it server or helping clean up with the networking environment, or helping with some scripting. The projects will be dictated by individuals skillset, etc.
