You will serve as an Intelligence Operations Specialist with the CGCG at the National Security Agency (NSA), Ft. Meade, Maryland.

You will also serve as the CGCG's Technical Director, staff advisor, and subject matter expert for Cryptology/Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), addressing a wide variety of issues pertaining to the compliance, application and integration of Coast Guard (CG) SIGINT/cryptology capabilities, requirements, and policies within the NSA.


Typical work assignments include:


Serving as the Technical Director, principal advisor, and policy consultant to the Commander, CGCG and acts as the primary liaison with other intelligence activities by formulating specific strategies and actions; briefing top agency officials, service personnel, and other high-level political or policy officials; advising CG and CGCG command on topics within this assigned specialty field; representing top echelon intra-and inter-agency planning or work groups; and coordinating outreach to the Intelligence Community (IC) and government agencies.

Providing intelligence expertise and recommendations in new Cryptology capabilities; evaluating the overall effectiveness and adequacy of CG Cryptology infrastructure; and assessing unforeseen developments, new phenomena, and difficulties encountered and recommending changes in the direction and approach of the organization.

Serving as subject matter expert with respect to regulatory impact on sensitive Cryptology programs.

Researching and writing reports or other working documents on complex Cryptology program issues, providing expert guidance or analysis within the CG and IC.

Identifying key policy issues and priorities, conducting analyses, evaluating alternative agency strategies, and making definitive recommendations for the CGCG and the SIGINT Program Manager.
