Inside Sales Representative:

An Inside Sales Representative (ISR) job entails selling or introducing corporate products or services to established and new customers. The customers communicate with an Inside Sales Representative to request quotations and information by telephone, email, or other electronic means. The Inside Sales Representative will also work in coordination with a field Sales Representative, Regional Sales Manager, Area Sales Manager and Health Care Solutions on selling opportunities. The primary duty involves tracking and following up on leads within the territory, calling on existing and prospective accounts to introduce and/or check in on the status of use or the Company's products and services. Assist in the achievement, and act in support of, the sales of ConMed products and services into the approved markets in support of assigned company goals and quotas.

Duties and Responsibilities: Primary objective is consistent achievement of monthly/quarterly revenue and margin goals for the assigned territory through phone, email, and other electronic methods of creating business remotely. This translates to the following specific responsibilities:

  • Inside Sales Representative are responsible for generating sales by contacting customers who have been identified as targets within the geographic region that is assigned. When required, a formal quote will be provided, training will be conducted, demonstrations provided, and in some cases clinical education will be offered via electronic means.
  • Inside Sales Representatives have a quota to achieve on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis that is independent of the corresponding Field Sales Representative's quota. Tracking of performance to this quota will be provided and the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for the effort to achieve this objective.
  • The ISR is responsible for creating and maintaining Opportunities within the company's CRM platform. This entails estimating the value of an opportunity, advancing the opportunity along stages, documenting conversations corresponding with the opportunity as well as updating contact information for all accounts, as known, within the assigned territory.
  • Accurate Forecasting – consistent implementation of pipeline management and forecast discipline to assure forecast accuracy for region
  • Work with Marketing on the development and implementation of specific sales marketing plans that target our database of existing customers as well develop customer lists for new market opportunities.
  • Execute specific Business Plans as they are presented, both for internal management and with Company's sales channels.
  • Assure that all established policies and business practices are consistently met.
  • Exhibit commitment to all assigned tasks and responsibilities by demonstrating leadership, impeccable integrity, strong work ethic, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Document and attain requests for approvals when necessary for any special pricing or other customer agreement or channel contract terms.
  • Build and maintain a professional, responsive, honest relationship with coworkers, channels, and customers.
  • Exercise good judgment and discretionary decision authority to take advantage of opportunities to drive over achievement of business goals and objectives.
  • Travel as necessary to achieve business objectives contained in the plan.
  • The ISR will gather competitive intelligence and convey that information to Marketing as well as document that information in the company's CRM program.
  • Work closely with the Field Sales Representatives to align on targets, coordinate local sales related activities to close an opportunity, and create a robust opportunity pipeline.
  • Participate fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes.
  • Actively participate in National and Regional Sales Meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and requested.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Prior experience with Medical Devices, Inside Sales, Field Sales, contracts, and national buying groups preferred.
