- You want to play a key role in monitoring existing quality control measures to ensure continued relevancy as well as perform quality assurance functions and recommends changes to comply with new rules, regulations, procedures and processes.
- You have proficiency in conducting reviews of applications and/or notices mailed to applicants to determine any deficiencies that could cause the delay in patent examination or publication and ensures that notices mailed to the applicants are complete and accurate.
- If you like doing research to identify problems or trends as related to preexamination and post examination and prepare recommendation on corrective actions to be undertaken.

Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
