The products are used in a broad spectrum of industries, such as the automotive, furniture, construction, woodworking, food, feed, solar, packaging and textile industries. The division is in a key position to drive the sustainable transformation of these industries.
As a Group Supply Chain Manager, you will be in charge of the strategic and tactical oversite of the CMN Monomers - Polyamides & Precursors supply chain activities in North America. Managing >85m€ of value chain inventories and being responsible for fixed cost budgeting and management (~28m USD).
As a Group Supply Chain Manager, You Create Chemistry By...- Overseeing the value chain planning and logistics execution related to polyamides and precursors in North America, including the planning and steering for 7 production plants in Freeport, TX and the regional distribution network.
- Standardizing and streamlining of operational processes and supply chain performance management.
- Coordinating communications with the local production teams, regional business unit, global business unit, and various service groups within BASF.
- Representing North America in Global Sales and Operation planning and global value chain balancing. Being responsible for negotiating and managing several external business relationships.
- Carrying regional planning for Polyamide & Intermediates. This includes raw material coordination and strategies, intermediates, finished good, Co-Products, Supply Chain Optimization Strategies, IT strategies, cost optimized production strategies, future capacity strategies and projects, and swap/purchase/toll strategies.
- Being responsible for the logistics execution of the Polyamides & Precursor value chain incliding: warehousing, packaging, loading operations, rail fleets, and transportation procurement and management.
- Working with Global Planning, Operations, and Marketing to optimize manufacturing in North America.
- Settling Purchase/Toll/Swap arrangements. Negotiating and managing multi-million external business contracts.
- Creating strategies in the areas of supply chain optimization and cost, raw material supply, manufacturing optimization, regional logistics service provider, co-product optimization and profitability, IT solutions, future capacity and projects, purchase/toll/swap, and co-manufacturing.
- Controling logistics infrastructure and assets at the BASF Freeport CM Monomers plants.
- Hold BA/BS Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.
- Hold an MBA or Masters (preferred)
- Have 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain (Value Chain Planning) Experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, and/or Refining is preferred.
- Have 5+ years of proved Supervision experience.
- Count with ASCM/CPIM Certifications (preferred).
