Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and prototype genomics and other omics data analysis methods, translating prototypes into robust, automated bioinformatics pipelines.
  2. Perform bioinformatics analyses on genomic, pharmacogenomics, and microbiome data.
  3. Conduct analyses on sample data and associated metadata for quality control, process development, and assay performance.
  4. Design and construct streamlined pipelines and algorithms for database querying and various applications to facilitate complex dataset analyses.
  5. Collaborate with AI and software team members to integrate analysis methods into our software systems.
  6. Evaluate, troubleshoot, and enhance existing workflows and data analysis pipelines.
  7. Contribute to scientific proposals and resource requests to achieve scientific objectives.
  8. Create comprehensive and detailed documentation for all projects.

    Requirements:

    1. Bachelor's/Master's degree or higher in bioinformatics, computer science, engineering, molecular biology, or statistics.
    2. Proficiency in Python and common analytical modules such as Pandas, NumPy, and related analysis tools.
    3. Experience working with Linux/UNIX operating systems and associated command-line tools.
    4. Hands-on experience implementing biological pipelines in AWS or other cloud computing infrastructures.
    5. Familiarity with genomic and pharmacogenetics analysis, including microarray, genotyping, or short-read sequencing.
    6. Exposure to NGS or other omics data analysis and human genetics.
    7. Knowledge of metagenomics pipelines and microbiome data analysis preferred.
    8. Strong communication skills.
    9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
    10. Demonstrated patient-centric approach and keen attention to detail.
