SummaryResponsible for facilitating the development of clinical excellence in assigned areas through active participation in campus/unit based orientation, training, on-going staff development. Facilitates quality improvement and accreditation applications for cardiovascular services including echocardiography and vascular testing. Designs, organizes, implements, and evaluates educational programs that facilitate the professional growth, skill development, initial/ongoing competence, and attainment of standards of care for echo and vascular sonographers. Actively participates and collaborates in campus and system wide performance improvement teams to enhance patient safety, satisfaction, staff competence, and standards of care. The CQAES will assist in the development of clinical policies, practice and programs to enhance echo and vascular ultrasound quality. This key position will participate in the analysis, planning and strategic formation for the accreditation of LMHS Cardiovascular services.

Previous experience in an approved specialty area in the acute care setting; formal and informal teaching experience preferred.

Registered in Echo and/or Vascular Ultrasound (RDCS or RCS and/or RVT or RVS). ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer) preferred.
