We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our respiratory care team.

Our Respiratory Therapists are integral to the healthcare team, providing critical respiratory care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.

You will play a vital role in assessing, treating, and monitoring patients with respiratory disorders.

Position:
Travel RRT

Location:
Shreveport, Louisiana

Schedule:36/48 Rotation 3X12 (7PM-7AM; 7AM-7PM)

Unit:
Float position

What You'll Do:


As a Respiratory Therapist you will be part of a team of highly trained professionals committed to delivering the highest standard of respiratory care.

You will work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with the latest technology and resources to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.

Skills:
Must be comfortable with attending high risk deliveries, as well as supporting Level 3 NICU/PICU.
High risk delivery experience intubation of Neonate, if necessary.

Airway and ventilator management, ABG puncture and analysis, Non-invasive ventilation, Code Blue and rapid response experience, inhaled medication administration to include nitric oxide.


Requirements:
Respiratory License in State of Assignment
2 years of experience as a travel RRT with at least week assignment as a Traveler
BLS Certification
NRP Certification

Immunizations Required:
Covid Vaccine
Heb B Vaccine
MMR Vaccine
Physical Exam
TB Vaccine
TDAP Vaccine
Varicella Vaccine

Responsibilities

Perform respiratory care procedures, including ventilator management, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, and oxygen therapy.
Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory status and develop appropriate care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
Administer and monitor respiratory therapy treatments, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
Educate patients and their families about respiratory care techniques and the use of respiratory equipment.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring all documentation complies with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Respond to respiratory emergencies, providing immediate and effective interventions.
Participate in continuous education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in respiratory care.

Requirements
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Do you have your Respiratory Therapist License in the State of Louisiana?
Do you have at least week contract Travel RT experience?
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION this is a Travel RN Contract. Confirm you live at least 50 miles from the facility located in 71103
