Minimum Qualifications

Up to 8 years of software development experience in a professional environmentand/or comparable experience such as:Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred5+ years of software development experience in big data technologies such as Python, Spark, PySpark, Spark SQL, Shell Scripting & HivePreferred – 7+ Years of hands-on experience in Data Ingestion, Data Organization & Data Consumption frame works using AXP Enterprise Data PlatformGood understanding of big data technologies such as Spark, Mapreduce, YARN, Hive, Zookeeper etc. Preferably, with some real-world experience.Working knowledge of American Express enterprise processes/standards and platforms . Strong understanding of LUMI platform in the realm of Data Engineering and Analytics as it relates to migration from Cornerstone and new capabilities. Experience in design and development for batch, streaming and real-time big data applications using AXP EDP platformExperience in hierarchical data structures in json/ xmlExperience with AXP CI/CD frameworks for code management and deployment like GitHub, Jenkins, XLRExperience with NoSQL technologies (column-family, key-value or document datastores)Prior Experience in Data Warehousing technologies and ETL suites a plusWorking knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data storesREST API design and implementation experienceAbility to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutionsStrong analytical skills and programming skills, in production environment.Experience with Production Support/Dev-Ops would be a plusWillingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
