Overview:

Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the responsibility of the HR Analyst is to interact and build successful relationships with employees and management. Help ensure compliance with State and Federal employment regulations.

Job Description:

Hours: Mon-Thur: 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. or Mon-Fri: 4:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide support in functional areas of Human Resources, including, but not limited to benefit administration, leave of absence administration, recruitment and employment, communication, employee relations, training, and special projects, in order to ensure compliance with policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Serve as a communication liaison for those individuals involved in the hiring process
  • Assist in providing guidance to employees and managers with regard to employment policies and regulations.
  • Administer leave of absence policies.
  • Assist in the coordination and administration of employee benefit plans.
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Possess practical and technical skills as well as the ability to communicate the department's objectives in a clear and persuasive manner are essential.
  • The ability to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and ability to resolve conflict with minimal assistance is required.
  • Consults with management and other organizational members to gain knowledge of developmental needs make recommendations to address those needs and gains agreement regarding the implementation of the recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business or management or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of HR related laws, i.e. FMLA, COBRA, EEOC, ADA, etc.
  • 1-3 years of HR employee relations experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Experience with Windows and Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Experience with HRIS systems preferred.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
