WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH:
We provide the basic building blocks for the Cisco Security Cloud. Our continuous mission is to make our products work together seamlessly, crafting a fantastic user experience for our customers.
Our team is building a unified experience for how products are provisioned and how Identity & Access is managed in the platform

Key objectives include:

  • Provide a common provisioning, identity and access management (PIAM) capability eliminating friction as the user pivots from tool to tool within the portfolio and simplifying user management.
  • Enable Cisco Secure product teams to accelerate delivery of value and focus more on innovation
  • Provide a great developer experience for the product teams within Cisco Security by providing highly available APIs with documentation and libraries, selfservice tools, and platform observability.

You dig in when necessary to make sure the team succeeds - and if you need a hand, you aren't hesitant to ask for help.

Taking cues from the very first "Software Engineer", Margaret Hamilton, you apply a scientifically rational approach to problem solving. You use empirical learning and discovery to inform your thinking.

You don't like surprises in your code, and through design, reduce their probability - but when they do happen, you learn together as a team and move forward.


Basic responsibilities include:

  • Planning at the quarter and sprint level
  • Reviewing code (PRs)
  • Working closely with UX designers to create beautiful sophisticated simple to use experiences.
  • Staying on top of codehealth
  • Diagnosing production issues
  • Ensuring the team and our customers are not blocked
  • Understanding impact of security vulnerabilities

WHO YOU ARE:

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience using React, NodeJS, JavaScript, HTML/CSS to develop responsive design and consuming web services
  • Demonstrated experience developing cloudnative applications for enterprise clients

Preferred Qualification/Desired Experience:

  • Leverage serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda or AppSync to build scalable and cost effective applications
  • Dedication to user experience through automated, crossbrowser testing
  • Familiarity with single signon technologies (e.g., OIDC, OAuth, SAML, Okta or similar)
  • Consistent record of developing largescale web apps and fine tuning them for performance and scalability
  • Familiarity with secure development practices e.g., mitigating the OWASP Top Ten

For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. U.S.

employees have access to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.

Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday.

Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO.

We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components.

For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
