Job summary:

Responsible for ensuring food preparation within the kitchen including the quality, production, and cleanliness.

Shift requirements:

Primarily shifts from 3pm-11pm but also flexibility to work AM Shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

Contribute positively to the team within the department
Prepare for any/all guest requests
Participate in on-going training
Comply with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Valencia Hotel Group (and its affiliates) standards as required by scheduling which will vary dependent upon the hotels needs
Complete other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Assisting in the proper utilization of excess food product for lowest possible attainable food cost.
Set up and maintain stock of food-preparation line.
Prepare food as required.
Attend required meetings.
Keep work areas clean and organized.
Be extremely courteous to all customers and fellow employees.
Maintain hotel equipment in proper working conditions.

Qualifications:

Communicates effectively with others
Works productively with a team
Contributes to team results.
High school or equivalent education required.
Minimum of 1 year is preferred
Food Handlers Certification
Must be knowledgeable of plate presentations and preparations of all menu items.
Good personal cleanliness.
Able to follow directions/recipes.
Ability to follow safety guidelines.
Professional behavior, able to work for long periods of time.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
