About the team and position

The Communication Platform team is a talented and humble group of people with backgrounds in Analytics, Product, Design, Data Science and Engineering, that are focused on building out our core product: a communication platform that delivers the right message to the right person at the right time in the right channel. Our scope includes communications ranging from marketing to transactional messages, delivered through email, SMS, push notifications, and website chat (our conversational AI agent).

We're looking for incredibly intelligent, entrepreneurial, hard-working go-getters who are excited about working in a data-driven technology company to help us drive the best customer experience. You're likely a great fit if you have a quantitative background, expertise in analyzing and designing controlled experiments, and experience using analytics to understand the customer experience. Ideally, you love using data to solve complex problems, developing your technical and statistical knowledge, and seeing your findings translated into actionable insights that can influence the direction of the organization.

What you'll be doing

You will work closely with the product and engineering teams focused on building a first-in-class conversation AI agent. As a Senior Analyst on the team you will be responsible for analyzing and consulting on experiments, using statistical methods to unlock actionable insights, and communicating out findings to internal stakeholders. This is a product that is constantly changing, so you will need to have a growth mindset and be able to adapt to a fast paced environment. Most importantly you should understand the bigger picture and have a clear understanding of how analytics work translates to business impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with product and engineering teams to design and analyze experiments focused on improving our conversational AI agent.
  • Use statistical methods such as regression modeling and Monte Carlo simulations to improve our understanding of the core product.
  • Guide analytics and product strategy through in-depth research of the customer experience.
  • Create automated reporting through dashboards and other tools to communicate actionable insights to stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with our engineering teams to improve the quality of analytics tables and define the logic for ETLs.

What you should have

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of work experience, ideally in analytics, data science or a related discipline.
  • Experience with SQL and Python or R.
  • A strong understanding of the basic statistical concepts used in traditional hypothesis testing and experimentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience translating analytics work into actionable insights.
  • Ability to learn and absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience.
  • Intellectual curiosity to learn and ask questions to find creative ways to answer complex questions with data.
  • Sense of humor, self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals.

It would be great if you also had

  • A Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Data Science, a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau.
  • Experience using statistical techniques such as regression modeling and Monte Carlo simulations to improve our understanding of experimentation and the product.
  • Understanding of data engineering best practices and experience building out ETLs.
  • Familiarity with non-traditional experimentation methods such as Bayesian hypothesis testing and multi-armed bandit testing.

Don't meet 100% of the qualifications?

Even if your experience doesn't fit like a glove, we still encourage you to apply. Many of our rockstars didn't fit the mold on day one.

What we'll offer in return

  • Full-Time Position with a competitive salary.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.
  • 401K with company match.
  • A multitude of perks including student loan payments, discounts on vehicles, benefits for your pets, and much more.
  • A great wellness program to keep you healthy and happy both physically and mentally.
  • Access to opportunities to expand your skill set and share your knowledge with others across the organization.
  • A company culture of promotions from within, with a start-up atmosphere allowing for varied and rapid career development.
  • A seat in one of the fastest-growing companies in the country.
