The Senior Manager, Project Management will ensure that project delivery processes and tools are standardized across the region through all software project functions. This individual drives excellence within project managers in terms of customer satisfaction, project efficiency, and employee engagement. This will be accomplished through defining of objectives and key results which align with the Software Solutions Success organization and Software Solutions business line, as well as the Commercial organization and region. In addition to overseeing project managers, this person will engage with customers where needed to foster strong relationships and drive performance. The position will drive revenue targets, forecast accuracy, project delivery milestones, and customer satisfaction targets for all software related projects, including upgrades, new software implementations, and 'bundle' installations involving software.

The Director of Project Management will also be responsible for maintaining and managing relationships with Installations, Clinical Applications, Support, and Customer Experience departments in order to drive mutual improvement and growth of Elekta values within the organization. Within the project management organization, they will provide leadership and accountability for Project Managers, including coaching, mentoring, guidance, direction, quality improvements, training, and general performance management.

It is critical that this role develops strong relationships with our Oncology Informatics business line as well as related departments in the customer journey, including implementation teams in all other business lines (Linac, MR-Linac, Brachy, and Neuro), Service organization, and other global Elekta functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Process standardization across all software project functions
  • Point of contact for project escalation
  • Drive performance and report on high level performance results in revenue, forecast accuracy, customer satisfaction, and project efficiency
  • Maintain revenue targets for the Software Solutions business line in the Region Americas, and working with stakeholders to accelerate and grow revenue where possible.
  • Lead documentation and communication status of projects and constantly seeking ways to improve processes
  • Recruit, train, and hire key individuals in order to develop high-functioning teams.
  • Determine resource prioritization for project delivery
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with Elekta's code of conduct and other regulatory
  • Requirements.
  • To attract, retain and develop the capabilities (competencies, knowledge, skills and experience) of direct reporting employees.
  • Maintain appropriate communications and effective working relationships between the various functional areas and regions across the business.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership behaviors and ensure that all direct reports have clear guidance on expectations on their behaviors in their roles.
  • Manage the selection, termination, development, measurement, motivation, and compensation of direct reporting employees.
  • Ensures that employee engagement, productivity, and morale are at high levels.
  • Ensure through effective management of direct reports, all employees have a meaningful annual performance planning and evaluation meeting where development activities are discussed, documented and acted upon within a timely manner in line with Elekta Group policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

What you bring

  • Project Management professional certification and experience.
  • Experience in leadership in related healthcare technology companies desired (5 years minimum).
  • Proven business management skills
  • Intense focus on delivering outstanding project results
  • Patience and ability to operate under stressful circumstances Knowledge of radiation oncology and medical oncology software solutions and clinical workflow desired.
  • Experience managing financial targets and budgets.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Exposure to Lean and or Six Sigma and or other operational excellence tools and techniques
  • Planning and execution of long-, medium-, and short-term organizational strategy.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
