Title: QC Lab Technician
Location: East Rutherford, NJ area
Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, Full time, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Type: Contract to Hire
Responsibilities
- Lab testing and organizing paperwork, scanning, then filing them properly
- Perform daily evaluation and approval of finished product, raw materials, and intermediates
- Work as team with other technicians to ensure timely reporting of results
- Report and record all results in a timely manner. Maintain proper database and generate appropriate statistical analyses via use of computer
- Communicate effectively to all supervisors, co-workers and plant personnel
- Perform all tests timely, accurately and responsibly by signing all conforming reports and alerting plant managers and QA management of non-conformances
- Offer ideas and plans for improvement and point out deficiencies in the laboratory especially in the areas of specifications and procedures
- Maintain a working inventory of all lab supplies and chemicals
- Accurately calibrate, control and maintain lab instruments
- Develop computer skills
- Provide timely results of non-routine samples
- Will perform other projects or assignments within the Quality Department
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
- BS Chemistry or related science preferred
- Few months up to 3 years hands-on experience in a QC laboratory (recent graduates will be considered pending overall undergraduate experience)
- Wet Chemistry - Scales, titration, viscometer
- Ability to work in a team environment.
