The Utah Hockey Club is looking to expand its Administration Department and hire a coordinator who can assist with projects that will contribute to the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving working environment both independently and as part of a larger team. This position is full-time, onsite in Salt Lake City, Utah.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the Hockey Admin department with executing day-to-day hockey operations responsibilities.
  • Act as an office manager by keeping up with office supply inventory.
  • Collect and distribute USPS, ship, and receive FedEx packages.
  • Help with organizing meetings, including scheduling, and sending reminders.
  • Welcome visitors and visiting colleagues and identify the purpose of their visit before directing them to the appropriate area.
  • Conduct market research on trends in a variety of areas.
  • Respond and filter through job inquiries that come to Hockey Operations and filter them through People and Culture as needed.
  • Help new employees with questions and send them to People and Culture and Finance when needed.
  • Join the team on community visits and different activations.
  • Attend Utah Hockey Club home games and assist department members of Hockey Operations with VIP guests and all player guests.
  • Assist in the planning, budgeting, and execution of team related events.
  • Manage gifting programming for the Hockey Operations Department.
  • Conduct research and keep up with market trends.
  • Manage projects as assigned.
  • Protect the reputation of the company

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Sports or entertainment industry experience is desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will be expected to preserve confidential information.
  • Knowledge and interest in professional hockey.
  • Ability to strive in a collaborative, team-driven, environment.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to exercise tasks, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly organized and excellent computer skills, include knowledge of all Google platforms.
  • Driver's license required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 20 lbs.
