Summary

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.

Statement of Major Duties - Staff Psychologist (BHIP)

DUTIES INCLUDE
:

North Florida South Georgia Veterans Healthcare System (NFSGVHS) is seeking psychologists to join our Mental Health Clinic teams in Gainesville.

Telework may be considered for portions of this provider's tour of duty. NFSGVHS is looking for generalist providers who are highly skilled in assessment and intervention.

Psychologists are responsible for implementation of evidence-based psychotherapies. The psychologist participates in regularly scheduled interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure efficiency and continuity of service delivery to Veterans.

The psychologist should be comfortable providing individual and group therapy via tele-psych to home as well as face-to-face therapy sessions (COVID safety precautions considered).

Applicants should be proficient in completion of assessments, psychological and psycho-diagnostic assessment and written reports, chart notes, and treatment summaries.

NFSGVHS values a shared decision making process to ensure optimal engagement and outcome.

Applicants should be able to prioritize their work appropriately and should seek consultation as needed to deal with difficult cases.

We are seeking applicants with strong clinical background and training. Applicants should possess good time management skills, skills to balance workload demands.

Applicants need excellent customer service skills toward both patients and coworkers, they should be able to remain positive even during times of high levels of stress, and should be able to work collegially with all other professions and should demonstrate tolerance of those with different opinions and/or attitudes.
