The Senior Director of Shipping & Logistics will oversee and manage all aspects of shipping and logistics operations to ensure the highest standards of efficiency, speed, and reliability.

This role is pivotal in optimizing our supply chain and ensuring the timely delivery of custom merchandise.

The Senior Director will lead a dedicated team, develop strategic initiatives, and collaborate with other departments to achieve operational excellence.


Top Priorities:
Lead and manage a high performing internal shipping and logistics management teams at an executive level

Design and develop systems for accurate reporting and shipping logs to be carried out by director and management level teams.

Set performance goals and KPIs for the department
Analyze ready times and ASNs to ensure gold standard is met from last leg of the race, shipping
Establish deep relationships with the music industry road and shipping crews

Position Duties:

Strategic Leadership:
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability

Shipping & Logistics Operations:
Oversee all shipping and logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
Ensure all shipments meet client deadlines and quality standards
Develop and implement strategies to optimize shipping routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery times

Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with senior management to align shipping and logistics strategies with company goals
Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance logistics operations
Analyze logistics data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities
Foster a continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence culture within the supply chain organization

Operational Excellence:
Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality service
Optimize logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
Implement best practices and industry standards to improve supply chain performance

Financial Management:
Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost control and profitability
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on supply chain performance

Vendor & Partner Relations:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners
Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions

Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including disruptions, delays, and quality issues
Develop contingency plans to ensure business continuity and resilience
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, production, and finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives
Drive cross-functional initiatives to enhance collaboration and streamline processes

Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in supply chain and logistics management, with at least five years in a senior leadership role
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful supply chain strategies
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with supply chain software and technologies
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
