This position is responsible for the sale of the organization's products in a specified region or major geographical area. ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Increase and grow the business by making sales contacts, researching customer needs and developing application of products and services for the assigned geographical area.
  • Follow-up on sales leads and make cold calls on potential customers.
  • Make regular sales calls to develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional and effective manner.
  • Develop key account plans for customers on products and services through research. Develop and maintain long and short range sales and marketing plans.
  • Determine customer satisfaction with products and services and resolve any problems that may arise.
  • Identify sales opportunities and recommend solutions to the customer.
  • Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals.
  • Analyze business conditions by monitoring monthly sales data and maintaining an up-to-date awareness of strategic plans and procedures.
  • Fulfill administrative requirements from the home office and attend meeting as required at the home office.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent work experience.
  • Three (3) years experience in sales.
  • Experience in the distribution/redistribution industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications and Lotus Notes.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Experience in initiating and sustaining internal and external customer relationships.
  • Exceptional follow-up and problem solving skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively manage changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational and negotiation skills.

A significant portion of the incumbent's job responsibilities will require walking, talking, hearing and seeing. The incumbent is required to perform PC work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for frequent periods of time. The incumbent must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Normal outside sales and office working conditions. Extensive travel is required to customer locations as well as xpedx/Saalfeld locations in and outside the group. Equipment: personal car, telephone, personal computer, calculator, fax, copier, etc.

Salary Range: 65K - 75K base plus commissions
