Job Description

AECOM is seeking an Architectural Designer to be based in New York, NY .

This position is expected to begin June 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Performing basic architectural calculations.
Preparing and reviewing drawings as required.
Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
May coordinate technical assignments with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
Work with the project architect in creating contract documents.
Participate in fieldwork and construction administration services.
Use current software platforms (including Revit) to develop contract documents, 3D models and presentations.
Prepare documentation regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time.
Coordinate documentation with other engineering disciplines.
Maintain conformance with building standards, established architectural practices, and applicable building codes.
Work under supervision of a Senior Architect.
May work with the design architect in creating schematic designs and presentations.
Work on a multi-disciplinary team with architects and engineers delivering all phases of exciting architectural projects in a variety of markets.

Qualifications:
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited university.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates the ability to prioritize tasks daily.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team environment.
Excellent 2D and 3D visual / graphic & design skills.
Working knowledge of Sketchup, VRAY, Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe Suite, and Rhino.
