The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School is seeking a dynamic and accomplished leader to join as the inaugural Chief of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery within the Department of Surgery & Perioperative Care. Eligible applicants will be board certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

The Chief of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery will be the first hire into the Division and be the integral leader in the development and growth of the otolaryngology-head and neck surgery program, responsible for the recruitment, development and evaluation of faculty members across all three mission areas and representing the Division in relevant contexts at the level of the Department, Dell Med and external partners.

The Chief will be responsible for developing an ambitious specialty-focused otolaryngology-head and neck surgery practice at UT Health Austin, the clinical practice of Dell Medical School, with intention to become a local and regional referral center. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to influence and motivate others at all professional and administrative levels; be an innovative self-starter with a commitment to excellence; and possess tenacity, self-motivation and initiative necessary to drive the development and maintenance of the otolaryngology-head and neck surgery program.
