Job Description

Danfoss in Utica has an immediate opening for a Team Coordinator on 2nd shift. The hours for this position are Monday to Friday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm with the potential for overtime.

As a Team Coordinator, you will utilize your skills to support Danfoss Silicon Power in a cleanroom producing power modules. You will be responsible for achieving the targets within your assigned area while leading your team of production operators. In addition to your assigned production duties, this position lays out work for production operators and serves as the first point of escalation for issues within the team. Job Responsibilities
  • The outcome, productivity, yield and quality of the products manufactured in your area of responsibility
  • Inline quality assurance and production batch releases
  • Builds a team atmosphere by fostering individual and team development. Recognizes the stages that teams experience as they develop.
  • Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all employees. Help ensure good communication occurs within the team and between shifts.
  • Help identify back-ups prior to known absences in the cell; Assists Shift Lead in developing plans for overtime or off-shift work
  • Serve as a role model to other manufacturing associates by personally, setting an example modeling behavior expectations in attendance, safety, quality, productivity, and team work
  • Coach employees on process-related issues
  • Lead Role-Provides technical expertise to others
  • Resolve minor conflicts within your production group
  • Participate in meetings with production planner and shift leader regarding future demands and actual shortage situations
  • Support the Shift Lead updating the training and competence matrix

The ideal candidate possesses these skills:

  • High School diploma or a two-year degree in business or technical related fields
  • Three or more years of experience and/or training preferably within the electronics or semiconductor manufacturing business
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to focus on routine work for a longer timeframe without any compromises in quality e.g. visual inspection with microscopes
  • Ability to communicate effectively in front of groups of customers or employees
  • Proven ability to lead a team with creating and maintaining a good working environment
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Basic knowledge of business systems such as Microsoft Office, MM SAP module and MES is preferred.
  • Continuous improvement and lean production mentality
Compensation Data

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $26.50+ per hour. Base salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
