We're currently hiring Quality Assurance Specialist for 2nd Shift schedule starting 2:30pm Monday-Friday (occasional overtime).

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for job duties in the support of the daily production run.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Generate/draft COA's for outbound shipments.

  • Complete tasks associated with inventory management including non-conforming goods system (tagging product, directing movement to segregated areas, inspecting/sampling, and verifying approved dispositions).
  • Assist with the Hayward facility SQF program maintenance through routine auditing (document review and observation) and corrective action follow up.
  • Verify that repacking activities performed in the Hayward facility meet customer and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Complete warehouse temperature verification checks (including thermometer calibrations) and follow up on out of specification results.
  • Sample product as required and send to internal or outside labs for testing.
  • Generate SNR (supplier non-conformance reports) for defective product.
  • Assists with maintaining the customer and supplier documentation databases: (ICIX, FSE, Amigos, Trace Gains, TraQtion, Aspect, Repositrak, Smart Track, Trace One, GORP, DPI, Intelex, Steton, Sharepoint (Pacific Cheese suppliers) etc.) in an audit ready status.
  • Supports internal and external customers' audit needs by assuring all documents are updated and readily available upon request.
  • Assists with completing product innovation (New Item Development) and renovation workflow items by creating specifications, labels, item cards, and other documents (BOM, Job Cards, etc) under the guidance of the Corporate Regulatory Manager.
  • Provides critical task back-up, by way of cross-training, with regulatory compliance and nutritional database expertise.
  • Adheres to company attendance and punctuality policy and all other company policies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
