Main Purpose of Job

This full-time contractual position will ensure that the day-to-day operations of the State care coordination and Maryland RecoveryNet programs are executed as stipulated by MDH's Behavioral Health Administration. Receive referrals from providers. Assign referrals to the care coordinators. Maintain referral and enrollment spreadsheets for MDRN CSS, SCC, and MDRN housing programs. Complete and submit required data reports monthly. Assist care coordinators with the request for services made to the Regional Area Coordinator for the Maryland RecoveryNet housing services. Maintain all spreadsheets. Collect and review all MDRN CSS requests for service from the care coordinators. Receive and review all proposals for services and submit purchase requests, adhering to FCHD's policy and procedures. Purchase items using the state assigned credit card and reconcile payments monthly per the state's reconciliation process. Complete internal audit of records per supervisor's guidelines. Conduct regular supervision meetings with team and routinely report to Adult Services Program Manager regarding status of programming, making recommendations for maximum utilization of services. Connect and enroll participants in the SCC and MDRN CSS programs. This will require meeting participants at state funded treatment centers, Frederick Health Hospital, and other locations. Assess and make recommendations to enroll SCC participants who are eligible for Maryland RecoveryNet services. Enroll participants in MDRN as appropriate. Maintain liaison and cooperative relationships with Behavioral Health providers and provide assistance to providers in identifying and making appropriate referrals to the program. Provide consultation and assistance to Behavioral health providers as well as collaborate regularly to explain available services.\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r
Experience: Two years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources. \r
Notes: \r
1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. \r
2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education. \r

BENEFITS

Contractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.\r
Leave may be granted to a contractual employee who has worked 120 days in a 12 month period. This leave accrues at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.\r
