Our Sound and Vibration Engineering team utilizes state of the art lab facilities and latest technologies in modeling, testing, and analytical tools to reduce compressor/system structural vibrations and radiated sounds.

Our team is experienced in Acoustics and Structural Dynamics, working collaboratively with other Global Engineering Centers to ensure the goals of the company are met.


As a Sound and Vibration Engineer, You Will:
Actively engage with Design and Advance Technology Engineering teams to improve S&V performance during new product development programs.
Work with the Research team to develop innovative sound and vibration reduction products.

Provide expert level S&V consultation to our Application Engineering teams and our external customers as it relates to the utilization of our products in their systems.

Provide guidance and consultation to Manufacturing teams related to manufacturing processes and their effects on S&V performance.
Collaborate with Global Engineering teams to develop new, improve existing tools, analysis procedures, and standardize across the Global community.
Engage daily with S&V lab team to assign and follow work based on Engineering priorities through lean practices.

Who You Are:


You are effective in a variety of communication settings: one on one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels.

You work cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objectives. You acquire data from multiple sources when solving problems and uncover root causes to difficult problems.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor's degree with 1-5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Demonstrated knowledge of the physics that govern the generation, propagation and control of sound and vibration.
Familiarity with tools related to the general sound and vibration measurements, signal processing, and numerical modeling/analysis.
Ability to plan, organize, and implement concurrent task independently and/or in team environment.
Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Master's or PhD degree specialized in Acoustics, Vibration, or related field.
6-10 years of related experience
Experience in Structural and Acoustics FEA.

Flexible Work Schedule - Core Hours:
This role has a core hour schedule.

You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm.
