Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Providing direct technical and administrative supervision to employees. Identifying and presenting to leadership the resources necessary for accomplishing the mission and function of the facility's C&P program. Providing guidance to local leadership and C&P employees on all matters pertaining to the facility's C&P program. Attending committee meetings and presents providers' credentials, clinical practice histories and red flags. Serving as the primary consultant for the facility's C&P program; analyzes program audit results; interprets facility quarterly report card data; researches provider credentialing requirements; and identifies potential privileging issues. Coordinating with Service Chiefs and service level administrative teams for annual Committee(s) review of clinical privileges and scope of practice. Serving as the Point of Contact (POC) and SME (Subject Matter Expert) for credentialing updates, Human Resources, providers and hiring services. Monitoring and auditing the VAMC C&P program utilizing VetPro reports, mandatory auditing and reporting tools. Ensuring national level reporting requirements are accurately completed including, but not limited to, quarterly security reports, quarterly accuracy certification of the Our Provider's website, and accuracy of the VA/DoD shared provider registry. Monitoring C&P program resources to ensure programs are appropriately staffed. Serving as a liaison and partner with Human Resources Service programs for common program goals and issues including, but not limited to, provider onboarding, provider exit reviews and assessments, privileging actions, and guidance related to clinical performance concerns. Responsible for ensuring quality assurance in the facility's C&P program; applying organizational and system-wide strategies for continuous quality improvement as they relate to C&P processes and procedures. serves as the administrator for the National Practitioner Data Bank, Federation of Medical Boards, and Our Providers Database. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: progressively responsible analytical or administrative, or clinical management or supervisory experience in the health care field. This work may have been performed in an operating health care facility or a higher organizational echelon with advisory or directional authority over such facilities.
