Oracle Health Applications & Infrastructure (OHAI) is developing patient-and provider-centric solutions rapidly and securely. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

As a Principal Software Engineer you'll be responsible and lead efforts in designing and building scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care platform, applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. As a tech lead you will own the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production. You will need to balance between feature development and production KPIs. As well as share your knowledge with other team members to foster collaboration and inclusion.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in computer science, or equivalent
  • 7+ years of developing and shipping enterprise distributed and/or cloud native systems
  • Strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to write great code in Java, Python, or similar OO languages
  • Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks such as Helidon, Dropwizard, Spring, etc.
  • Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence full system architecture
  • Strong desire to make an impact and thrive in collaborative and energetic environments
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts verbally and through design aspects

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
