Retention Outreach Coordinator
Summary of Job Duties:
The Retention Outreach Coordinator for Freshman Commuter Student Success (FCSS) will help to: recruit, train, coordinate, supervise, and mentor student employees; facilitate social, financial, and academic outreach efforts to full-time, degree-seeking UA students who did not contract with UA Housing during their freshman year; mentor targeted students in-person and over the phone; plan, coordinate, and facilitate a mini-orientation event for incoming freshman commuters; maintain the Commuter Lounge; update and utilize texting platform to communicate with target population; manage social media profile; and create educational resources for incoming commuter students, and training content for student workers.
Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, or formal education equivalent
At least two years of experience in a post-secondary setting
Supervisory experience in any workplace setting
Customer service/hospitality experience
Experience working with adolescents and young adults
Experience making data-informed decisions
Experience with educational and training content creation
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with or understanding of organizational behavior management/behavior analytical approaches to positive reinforcement
Familiarity with University of Arkansas resources and campus departments
Higher education experience in advising, financial aid, and/or retention
Experience with mentoring, training, or supervising in a college environment

Proficiency in word processing, basic design software, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based storage applications, Zoom and other video conferencing and online meeting tools
Additional Information:
This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance
